On the 16th of December 2021, Super Typhoon Odette (internationally named Rai) made landfall in the Visayas and Mindanao Islands bringing torrential rains, violent winds, landslides and storm surges, making nine landfalls in seven provinces.

Based on initial data, Caraga and Regions VI, VII, VIII and IV-B (MIMAROPA) were hit hardest, with communities in Surigao del Norte, Dinagat Island, Southern Leyte, Bohol and Cebu most severely affected. The aftermath of the Super Typhoon left countless people homeless, destroying properties and restricting operations of businesses and the academe.

The Philippine Science High School-Cordillera Administrative Region (PSHS-CARC) took heed of the call to help the affected people in the aforementioned places through PISAYUDA 3. Headed by Campus Director Dr. Conrado C. Rotor, Jr., Pisay Baguio was able to raise cash assistance with a total amount of 94, 441 php.

The donations were forwarded specifically to two affected PSHS campuses, Central Visayas (CVisC) and Caraga (CRC).

50, 000 php was sent to Ms. Janice Aurea S. Camarillo (PSHS-CVisC) on December 31, 2021 through Landbank Fund Transfer and 44, 441 php was then sent to Ms. Celona Jane T. Cuenca (PSHS-CRC) on January 4, 2022 through the same platform.

When we give, no matter how big or small but as long as it comes from the heart – it will always save a life.

Thank you to all those who selflessly shared their blessings to our dear brothers and sisters. Words are not enough to extend our gratitude for your support, may our Heavenly Father return it to you a thousandfold.
